Dr James Ferrie - Podiatrist
Dr James Ferrie is a Podiatrist with interests in regenerative medicine & Sonography. James has undertaken post-graduate training from the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation (USA) in ultrasound and fluoroscopy guidance of foot & ankle orthobiologic procedures. James is a certified member and specialist instructor of the Swiss DolorClast®, having utilised Swiss DolorClast® in his practice for over a decade. He is also certified in lower limb point of care MSK ultrasound.
James currently practices in a specialist referral clinic alongside one of Australia’s leading foot & ankle surgeons, utilising his ultrasound skills to assist with minimally invasive surgery and injections. James is also the founder of My Sports Podiatrist, a clinic devoted to lower limb musculoskeletal injuries. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with other health professionals through his role as a clinical instructor at Zedu Ultrasound Training Solutions. He is passionate about health and helping people achieve their health and lifestyle goals.
Marcus Sabella - Physiotherapist
Since graduating in Physiotherapy from Sydney University in 2003 and completing his Masters in Sports and MSK in 2006, Marcus has travelled both Australia and the world fine tuning his body work skills. He has worked in an array of public and private settings, most recently finishing an 8-year time working with the Cirque Du Soleil shows overseas.
Marcus' goal is to provide a high level of care for every patient that comes to his clinic.
Dr Tina Maio - Osteopath
Dr Tina Maio is a registered Osteopath with a background in Strength and Conditioning and Exercise Rehabilitation. She established a private practice in Coburg, Melbourne Australia in 2000, which consists of 9 Osteopaths, Masseurs, Acupuncturists, Naturopaths, Exercise Physiologists plus a Yoga and Pilates studio. Over the last 15 years, she has been involved in the physical preparation of elite athletes and has developed a strong stable of players internationally across Golf, Triathlon, Cycling and Tennis. From assessment, treatment, restoring function and improving efficiency of movement, she works closely with Doctors, coaches and trainers to achieve the best outcome for athletes. The current stable of players in her care are on the US PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, European Tour, One Asia Tour, Japanese Tour, Web.com and PGA of Australia. She is a member of the Sports Osteopath Committee in Australia, established by Osteopathy Australia and a member of Sports Medicine Australia. She has undertaken the SDCA train the trainer course in Singapore 2014 and in Malaysia 2016.
Tina enjoys lecturing and teaching for SDCA (Swiss DolorClast Academy) on EMS Radial Shockwave therapy to allied health practitioners in Australia. It is part of her daily practice and she cannot speak highly enough of the positive impact it has had on her business.
Gavin Corica - Physiotherapist
Gavin is a qualified Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist. He has been a Physiotherapist for the past 16 years, predominantly in private practice. He first started using radial shockwave therapy in 2012, after extensive research into the modality to ensure it had the evidence base to support its use within his clinics. His thirst for knowledge in this area saw him become a member of the International Society of Shockwave therapy (ISMST) in 2012 where he obtained international accreditation in shockwave therapy.
Gavin with his co-Director has seen the introduction of EMS DolorClast® Shockwave Therapy into 5 clinics, with great success clinically. He also instigated the introduction of EMS DolorClast® radial shockwave therapy into the Back In Motion Health Group, helping over 20 clinics introduce the technology, and assist with training of clinical staff. He served on the clinical expert panel for several years in Back In Motion Health Group, as clinical expert in radial shockwave therapy.
Gavin with his style of teaching engages his audience. He offers a very strong evidence base with how he practices shockwave therapy and provides practical tips on how to get the best out of clinical treatments, from patient positioning, clinician posturing, and protocols developed over 10 years. This results in exceptional clinical outcomes within his clients.
George Murley PhD B.Pod (Hons) - Podiatrist
George is a podiatrist with 20 years of clinical experience. In 2010, he completed his PhD in the field of foot posture, foot orthoses and biomechanics, publishing over 30 international journal articles and a book chapter. George worked full time for 12 years at La Trobe University in teaching and research, which included a clinical role with A-League football team Melbourne City FC.
Facilitated by his teaching and research background, George is an expert in the area of musculoskeletal injuries and providing comprehensive client management including shock wave and laser therapies. George now runs two busy private podiatry clinics, working as a practitioner 4 days per week.
Away from work, George is a very keen golfer, runner and road cyclist.
Ben Day - Physiotherapist
Ben has practiced as a physiotherapist for over 15 years in various locations around Australia and Europe. After completing a Bachelor of Science (Human Movement and Psychology) at the UWA in 2000, Ben entered the physio profession after completing a Master of Physiotherapy at Curtin University in 2003. During his career, Ben has worked in private practice with athletes from a number of top level sporting clubs including the Adelaide Crows, Queensland Reds, and the Northern Irish Institute of Sport.
Ben has also worked in some of the top public and private hospitals throughout Australia. While Ben enjoys the generalist role of a physiotherapist, he has developed a special interest in upper limb injuries of shoulder elbow and hand.
During his spare time Ben enjoys Keeping fit, and spending time with his growing family.
